If you’ve found your way to our website, it must mean you’re on a journey of some sort…the journey of raising girls, teenagers, or the exciting, amazing and sometimes confusing journey of growing up yourself. Well, we’re glad you’re here and would love to be a part of your journey—whichever sort it may be. We wish we could ride alongside you, sing songs and give you caramel brownies (see Mirrors and Maps). But, since we can’t, we’d love for you to hang out here for awhile—look around, visit our blog site, and come see us if we’re in a city near you.
May God bless your journey and flood you with the knowledge of how much He loves you and of the uniquely gifted person He has made you to be.

There was a time, not so long ago, when everything in life seemed pretty simple. You had great friends, you got along with your parents (most of the time!), and you were pretty happy with the way your life was.

Last fall Melissa and I took a 400-mile road trip with our friend Mimi — on our bikes. No, we’re not crazy and we’re not super athletic. We’re actually kind of normal and a lot like you, only older. And being older made it harder.
